I believe photography should be a reflection of a moment in time. A way to capture life’s beautiful, ephemeral moments that too often seem to slip between our fingers.
A way to make the intangible, tangible. A great photo should make your heart skip a beat. It should take you to that moment with all the raw emotion and sensation. It’s life’s stories told in an aesthetic way.
Of laughter, joy and tears; anticipation, nerves and tension. It’s not about awkward staged photos, but authentic moments – both the obvious and the not so obvious. Like the look of tearful pride on a father’s face, or the nervous fidgeting of a groom before he sees his bride for the first time.
It’s all these moments that tell the story of the day. And the way I see it, I’m there to tell a story. Your story. To capture the big moments, and the small. Those moments of beauty that often go unseen; your crazy dance moves, the laughter, the tears, the real honest moments that life is made of.
And it’s actually these little moments that most surprise my clients. When after the blur of the wedding is over and they look at their photos for the first time, they discover all these moments, these little stories that unfolded within their own wedding that they never knew. It’s another reason why I love shooting weddings.
If you feel we would be a good fit, i would love to hear from you and chat further about your special day.
